A synthetic ice rink is coming to Fantasy Island next week, offering guests the oppotunity to show off and perfect their skating skills. It will cost £3 for thirty minutes of skating, and the price includes skate hire. The rink will be available between September 4th and October 30th.

Such rinks are becoming more widespread across town and cities since the growth of interest in ice skating due to the popularity of television programmes such as Dancing on Ice. A similar synthetic ice skating rink recently opened nearby in Skegness beside the Pier, with plans to open throughout the year.

 

Fantasy Island have teamed up with Deano's Pro Soccer Academy to offer children the chance to perfect their football skills this summer. The Fantasy Football events will take place on several weekends in July and August, and will allow children to play a supervised game of football. Before they think it's all over, they'll be able to head off to Fantasy Island with their unlimited rides wristband.

The football sessions will be held in the morning between 9.15am and 2pm at Swifts JFC Playing Fields, School Lane, Ingoldmells. The sessions priced at £25 for one day, or £45 for both Saturday and Sunday sessions; the price includes the cost of the Fantasy Island wristband as well as the football session. Children are required to bring their own football equipment, boots/trainers, sun cream/rain jacket and a lunch time snack. Fantasy Island

From  Saturday, 04 April Fantasy Island will now begin opening on a daily basis throughout the main season. The wristband system is all ready to go as planned, offering guests discounts for unlimited rides. Tokens will no longer be sold, but replaced instead with 'live tickets' which can be topped up as a pay per ride solution.

Wristbands can now be reserved via the brand new Fantasy Island website. Prices range from £5 to £16 for children, and £10 to £22 for adults, depending on the point in the season. Eventually, we're promised that the site will allow guests to buy rather than reserve wristbands for collection, but until then guests are only required to enter a few personal details to be eligible for the discounted online prices.

With the launch of wristbands, no more tokens will be sold by the park. However, any tokens purchased previously will still be accepted throughout the 2009 season. There is still a pay per ride option available, with prices ranging between £1 and £3 per ride depending on the ride type

 

 A 12 hole crazy golf course has now opened in the heart of the Fantasy Island Market, situated beside the Grand Prix Go Karts and beneath the sidewinder and first helix of Millennium Roller Coaster

 

EastGate Market Expansion and Cosmetic Improvements

The market is set to expand outwards onto the main car park this season,An additional 96 new stalls will be added, as well as four buildings to be used as toilet facilities. A portion of the existing caravan site will will become car parking spaces.
